The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It features a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lifted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is perfect for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and for travelling.
We love that it's made of soft fabrics with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak and various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with all styles of decor. Anna discovered that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secure to ensure security. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number in case you have any problems.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed such as the ability to connect to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to ease reflux or congestion in babies. It can also be washed in the machine - a must for all the dribbles, vomit, and snot that can be found in a newborn baby!
The CoZee is a great option if you want to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be transformed into an actual bed. And while it will not feed your baby or magically make them sleep it will gently rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive alternatives. It does have many excellent features. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a brand new mechanism. bedside crib co sleeper is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be lowered and raised with just one push of one button. This was an enormous help in feedings at night, as it meant they could easily reach inside and take their baby away without waking them up.
The side panel can be lifted by itself, too however, it's not recommended as this increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only remain in place when it is attached to the parent's bed correctly. This feature is great to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It has a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and a rocking function to help soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does come with an extensive instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one area to another. It's also able to fold up into its travel bag which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only negative our testers have found is that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This made it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of an ideal bedside crib that can develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. It's a co-sleeping crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and strengthening the bond between you and your newborn.
Contrary to other models of bedside crib The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope can help ease reflux and colic.
